In honor of the classic American song, we debate which version of the song is better, Darius Rucker or Old Crow Medicine Show.

Wagon Wheel is a song that inspires that adventurous American Spirit. There is no better song to sing along with friends around a fire place, putting back as many beers as possible. Listening to the guitar hum gives you the feeling that anything is possible and makes you want to become pioneer and go on a road trip across America with nothing but a backpack.

The song was originally sketched by Bob Dylan, and finished by Old Crow Medicine. They made Wagon Wheel Famous in 2004, and then it was covered by Darius Rucker recently in the beginning of 2013.  Both versions are good, lets have America decide which is better...

So wave get your Patriotic Hat on and listen to both versions before you vote.

Here are the best lyrics from Wagon Wheel:

"I made it down the coast in seventeen hours
Pickin' me a bouquet of dogwood flowers
And I'm a hopin' for Raleigh, I can see my baby tonight"

"Oh, the North country winters keep a gettin' me now
Lost my money playin' poker so I had to up and leave"

"I caught a trucker out of Philly
Had a nice long toke
But he's a headed west…"

"I hear my baby callin' my name
And I know that she's the only one
And if I die in Raleigh
At least I will die Freeeeeeee"

"So rock me mama like a wagon wheel
Rock me mama any way you feel
Hey mama rock me
Rock me mama like the wind and the rain
Rock me mama like a south-bound train
Hey mama rock me"

Stephanie – Jacqui and Maddie oh how I want to be in the zone when I’m running. Sadly, I’m still granciimg. I’ll be patient until that smile breaks through. I think that you’re both right that the moment depends on the zone we’re in I didn’t think of it in those terms, so I’m glad that you guys brought it up. Jacqui I think practice will help the running zone! I’m going to practice tomorrow morning. And yes, the office zone kinda sucks, especially after a private balcony view of the ocean!Maddie I don’t think that a long period of figuring out fundamentals sounds discouraging at all. I think that effort and time it takes to learn the basics makes the zone all the more rewarding. Wow, I didn’t know how many quotation marks I’d use for this little post. Ha.
